Coach Education Pathway

The Nepean Football Association is committed to developing confident, capable, and well-supported coaches at every level of the game. Our Coach Education Pathway, aligned with Football Australia’s national framework, provides a clear and progressive journey for coaches, from grassroots to advanced levels. 

Why Coach Education Matters 

A well-structured coach education system ensures that players of all ages and abilities receive quality guidance, fostering enjoyment, development, and long-term participation in football. Our pathway supports coaches with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create positive football environments. 

Pathway Overview 

MiniRoos Coaching Course 

  • Who it’s for: Volunteer Parents and Coaches working with players aged 4–11 
  • Focus: Creating fun, safe, and engaging environment for young children 
  • Includes: Game Leader Handbook and practical session plans

Foundation of Football (FoF) Course 

  • Who it’s for: New coaches across all age groups
  • Focus: Core coaching principles, player development, and session structure 
  • Outcome: A strong foundation for progressing to more advanced qualifications 

 C Diploma 

  • Who it’s for: Coaches working with youth and senior teams 
  • Focus: Tactical and technical development, match analysis, and player management 
  • Outcome: A nationally recognised qualification for advanced coaching roles 

 

 Support & Accessibility 

We are committed to making coach education accessible across all clubs in the association. Courses are delivered regularly, with flexible hosting options and online registration via the etrainu platform.
