MiniTillies Program Announced

Following the incredible success of the CommBank Matildas and the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ there is immense heightened interest in the game, evident not just in fandom, but from a participation perspective.

To capitalise on this interest, and deliver on current demand, Football Australia has launched a Spring pilot program – MiniTillies, encouraging girls aged between 4 – 11 years to participate in a nationally recognised introductory football program. This fun, social and engaging program provides an alternate option for girls who may not want to participate in a mixed gender program, as well as the opportunity to choose their football experience.

MiniTillies provides transitional and pathway options into MiniRoos club football with major emphasis on equal gender balance. MiniTillies programs are flexible and can run for 4 – 12 weeks, at a time that suits your club. Traditionally, sessions are delivered by club coaches and/or club players who would like to take the first step in their coaching journey. Football Australia has a workforce of qualified Participation Officers who can deliver the program on behalf of the club if required (pending location and availability).
