Football NSW Game Development Officer and 3 time W-League Championship winning goalkeeper, Trudy Burke came to Nepean FA to run a Female Football Week Goalkeeper Workshop. This was hosted by Blue Mountains FC at Knapsack Park on a chilly Monday in May!

Registrations were high, so a second session was put on and we had around 50 players brave the coldest day of the year to try out some new skills as goalkeepers. We had some brand new keepers as well as some more experienced ones attend and Trudy said: “this is what Female Football Week is all about, getting into the community and celebrating all the girls hard work and achievements. It was a great experience for me to see such a wide range of girls from all different clubs out their enjoying their football”

Some of the key words form the night from the players have been recorded as:

Thanks to everyone involved at BMFC for instigating and hosting as well as to all our participants and their clubs for promoting the event. Special thanks to Trudy for coming out and sharing some of her wealth of experience with our players and to Football NSW for the goodies we had to give away.
