Football Manager’s Update

WELCOME TO 2019

Here we go. Season 2019 is just around the corner and we welcome everybody, whether first timers or seasoned veterans. We are looking forward to a fantastic season ahead full of football, fun and friendships.

On the coaching front, we are still leading the country with our minimum coaching qualification policy and we’re very pleased to say that a number of Sydney Metro Associations are joining us and will be rolling it out from this season onwards as well. More people with more information and more tools can only make for a better experience for more people! Let’s continue to be pioneers and make Nepean an even better place to play football.

COURSES

Coaching courses are an essential part of our framework and we are excited that it all started on the 2nd February with the first course of the year, Skills Training Certificate, held at Warradale FC.

If you are looking for a course for 13 – 17’s, that’s the Game Training Certificate and that’s going to be held at Summerhayes Park, Winmalee on the weekend of the 9th and 10th March. GTC Springwood

If you’re coaching a team from Under 17’s and over, then we have a Senior Coaching Certificate on the 2nd and 3rd March for you at Inalls Lane, Richmond – Senior – Colo

We also have around a dozen Miniroo’s Coaching Certificates scheduled at clubs around the NFA so to find one that suits you, please head to www.playfootball.com.au and check out the coaching tab for all courses, dates and venues.

Coaching courses aren’t the only way to learn we know, so we are working with our clubs to host more informal, casual workshops and updates where coaches can see more hints and tips to make their sessions flow and players more engaged and having fun while learning the skills required to play our great game. Keep an eye on your clubs websites as well as the NFA web and FB pages for details as they come along.

If you have questions about coaching courses, then please contact our Football Manager James Rankine to get them answered.

ALDI MINIROOS

MINIROO’S are a huge part of our Association and, like the rest of Australia, make up to around half of all our registered players.

If you’re a parent in this age group, then we recommend you get onto the ALDI Miniroo’s website –https://www.playfootball.com.au/miniroos – as there’s heaps of fantastic information there for everybody.
